| In today’s environment many people are too busy to be involved in a service club but support and believe in the organization and the projects that they do. A program through Optimist International for those who support the organization but do not at this time have either the time or the ability to join a club is the Friend of Optimist program. For a $100 annual contribution you can become a Friend of Optimists. As a friend, you have all of the rights and privileges of a regular Optimist Member with the exception of voting at the International and District Conventions. As a Friend you receive a membership card, four issues of the Optimist magazine and a frameable copy of the Optimist Creed. By becoming a Friend of Optimist you demonstrate to the children and leaders in your community that you care about them being the very best that you can be. Your support allows the volunteer work of others to continue to reach millions of children worldwide.
